Biomarkers in the Combination Era: Rethinking Patient Selection as Therapies Become More Complex

Wed, Mar 17 | 02:20 PM - 03:00 PM
Track 1

Session details:

As oncology increasingly moves toward combinations involving different mechanisms of action, established biomarker strategies are becoming more complicated. A biomarker that predicts response to a single agent may not carry the same meaning when that therapy is combined with an ADC, immunotherapy or another modality. This panel will examine how biomarker strategies need to evolve to identify the patients most likely to benefit from increasingly complex combinations.

  • How does the predictive value of an established biomarker change when therapies with different mechanisms of action are combined?
  • How do we identify the right patients when multiple biomarkers may be relevant to the same treatment strategy?
  • How do we design clinical trials that can answer increasingly complex biomarker questions without becoming increasingly complex trials?
